    What: Monthly Meeting. 

    Our guest speaker will be Rep. Chris Malone (R-Wake) who will be giving us an update on this years Legislative Session.

    Rep. Malone has been an elected official at the local, county and state level. He was a member on the Wake Forest Town Board of Commissioners from 2001 until 2005. He was elected in 2009 to the Wake County School Board. Finally in 2012, Malone was elected as your Representative in District 35 in the North Carolina House.

    Personal Background
    Chris is the oldest of nine children who were raised on a farm in Middletown, NJ by Christopher and Antonia (Tonie) Malone. Malone’s father was a naval officer and executive with Pirelli Tire and his mother an author and Professor at Seton Hall University.

    Chris went to work right after graduating from Middletown Township High School. After several years he returned to school and graduated from St. Mary of the Plains College with a B.A. in Speech and Theatre in 1982. Malone moved to Wake County in January 1991. In 1992, he married Becky Sampson, an emergency room nurse. They have three children: Christopher, Benjamin and Kathryn (Katie).

    Chris has also been involved in community activities including a stint as a member of the board of directors of the Wake Forest Fire Department and Kiwanis Club. He has worked for G4S Compliance and Investigations (formerly MJM Investigations) since arriving as a Sales Representative and later as a Case Manager and a National Program Manager.

    Rep. Malone is a graduate of Leadership Raleigh.

    He was the Wake County Republican Party House District 40 Chairman.

    Rep. Malone led the Wake Forest board to pass an amendment to the town charter denying the town the authority to engage in seizure of personal property for commercial purposes.

    Mr. Malone was elected in 2009 to the Wake County School Board, where he has been working to bring Community Schools and sorely needed programs and equitable treatment to Eastern Wake County.

    Rep. Chris Malone is your District 35 Representative in the North Carolina General Assembly where he is working hard for his district and the people of the state. He has regularly voted for both personal and corporate tax breaks, education, regulatory and administrative reform.
